NEWS:DONALD TRUMP USES THE BIBLE VERSE WAY OUT OF CONTEXT

Presidential candidate of the United States of America,  Donald Trump has openly declared that he would not attend this evening's debate because the moderator Megan Kelly will not take it likely with him. According  to him he has some urgent and tasking appointments at hand.

In a recent interview with Bill O’Reilly Trump explains why he is boycotting the debate, stating that he will be hosting an alternate event which will raise funds for veterans.
O’Reilly argues with Trump, saying that he should participate in the debate so that the American people will be given the opportunity to see him in a public debate forum.

“In your Christian faith, there is a very significant tenet and that's the tenet of forgiveness," O'Reilly said, referring to the grudge Trump appears to be holding against Megyn Kelly.
"I think you should be the bigger man," O'Reilly added. "Don't you think that's the right thing to do?"
"It probably is," Trump agreed. "But y'know it's called an eye for an eye. I guess also you can look at it that way."

O'Reilly disagreed with him by saying that was a verse in the Old Testament of the Bible which has been modified by Jesus Christ. He added that as a good Christian, he was supposed  to 'turn the other cheek'or just pray for his enemies.
Donald Trump, in an attempt to cover up said that O'Reilly was taking the issue far beyond what it really meant.

NEWS: DONALD TRUMP IS UNUSUALLY SUPPORTED BY THE EVANGELICALS

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has garnered support among conservative evangelical voters, which has left some to question why the thrice-married business mogul appeals to a group that is known for voting on values.

A national poll reveals that Trump holds 42 percent support among evangelicals. His current closest rival, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who is known for his conservative values and Biblical morals, holds only 25 percent.

Trump also recently received a warm welcome from Jerry Falwell, Jr., the president of the largest Christian college, Liberty University, where, even though he mispronounced a book of the Bible, he still appeared to be well-received.

It is very surprising  to such a huge support for a fellow who referred to communion as “the little wine” and “the little cracker.”


“Donald Trump basically gave voice to the idea that Washington is broken and needs to be fixed,” says Bob Vander Plaats, shedding some light on the question. “People right away resonate with that.”
 He seems to be in control and sounds like he has an antidote for the malady that has befallen the nation.

DEVOTIONAL : MAKING YOUR MARRIAGE WORK 1

Bible reading: Ephesians. 5:21-25

It takes great commitment to make a marriage blissful and successful. This gift of God demands the commitment of those who are involved. The good thing is that the Bible is not silent on what people must do to make their marriage work. I pray for couples using this devotional, your marriage will be highly successful in Jesus name. In our Bible reading for today, we are blessed with some principles that will help us make our marriage work. The first one that catches our attention is the mutual submission between the husband and the wife. The husband and the wife must learn to submit to one another. The reason is found in the first epistle of Paul to the Corinthians.

Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence and the wife also unto the husband. The wife hath no power of her own body,  but the husband and likewise also the husband hath no power of his own body, but the wife.
1Corinthians. 7:3-4

A principle that any woman who wants her marriage to succeed should imbibe is unconditional submission. This is the condition that doesn't require any condition compliance.  The Christian wife must learn to submit  to her husband. When she does this, she receives a blessing  which money cannot buy from God.

For after this manner in the old time, the holy women also who trusted in God adorned themselves being in submission unto their own husband:even as Sarah submitted unto Abraham calling him Lord, whose daughters  ye are as long as ye do well and are not afraid  with any amazement.1Pet. 3:5-6

It is dangerous  for a woman to go into a marriage partnership with a man she will not submit herself to. It is better for such woman not to get married  at all. When the Bible says, 'wives submit....  Some people will take this as a piece of advice. However,  it is not a piece  of advice  but an express command. It must be obeyed. As a matter of fact,  the Bible goes ahead to reveal the level of submission, it says 'as the church  is subject unto Christ,  so let the wives submit to their own husbands in everything'
Years ago,  I counseled one of my daughters along this line when she began to have problems in her marriage, initially she didn't find it pleasant but I told her that she could hit do contrary if she wanted her marriage  to work. The problem then was that she was as highly educated as her husband and as such felt she had equal rights  with him.  May the Lord  bless our homes with eternal  peace in Jesus  name.

Woooooah!!!. Those are powerful words flowing from streams  of resentment  and anger. David could have never been more provoked. He had just treated Nabal's shepherds  with some kindness and was expecting some kindness also being reciprocated to him, but what he got was the exact opposite!. He had also been through a string of misfortunes that had really battered him, so he obviously deserved some love and warm reception. Thank God for the virtuous woman, Abigail who was able to calm David down and tell him soothing words. The Bible says a 'soft answer turns away wrath'. Abigail was a discerning woman who had the right words in her mouth. 

There have been times in our lives when we give a lot or sacrifice  so much into the course of someone else only to be repaid with evil or worse still, our good intentions misunderstood  for a bad one. It really can be very disheartening and frustrating. Those are times when we almost lose it and just forget about all the effort. We need to contain that moment.  Yes! That's what's maturity is about. There may not be an Abigail around to soothe us with kind words but the sweet Holyspirit is always there to comfort us. One of the fruit of the Spirit is self control, which goes a long way in helping us contain our angry moments. Sometimes all we need to do is to just walk out of that tense environment and Give the Spirit some space to minister to our hearts. Some of us sacrifice a lot to see something  done and in one moment of anger, we destroy everything!

This is one of the reasons the Bible says 'anger rests in the bottom of fools'!. You'll agree with me that it's really absurd to invest a lot in a project and then destroy it the next minute. As weird as this may seem, it is the challenge some people still struggle with today. There can't be any firm deliverance elsewhere apart from Jesus. The Bible says in John.8:36

If the son shall make you free, then you shall be free indeed.

ASSASSIN GETS ARRESTED BY GOD AND SURRENDERS HIS LIFE TO CHRISTS

On New Year’s Eve, a man entered a church with the intent of killing, but eventually ended up giving his life to Christ.

The presiding shepherd of the church, Pastor Larry Wright who leads Heal the Land Outreach Ministries, and who is a retired Army sergeant was ready to tackle him to prevent any harm coming to the 60 worshippers gathered in the church.

However, the man had a change of heart and ended up listening to the rest of Wright’s sermon. Wright took the man’s weapon and handed it to a deacon.

“I finished the message, I did the altar call and he stood right up, came up to the altar, and gave his life to Christ,” Wright said. “I came down and prayed with him and we embraced. It was like a father embracing a son.”

The unidentified would-be attacker said he had come to the church intending to do harm, but God had spoken to him, telling him to seek prayer instead.

The man had recently gotten out of prison and was trying to start his life over.

It’s so hard to describe, to explain the excitement and love of God in the room,” said Wright.
