DEVOTIONAL: ABUNDANT LIFE AFTER DEATH
Bible Reading : Revelation.21:1-7
Some of the major quest for humanity are the search for the existence of God, the nature if the religion and the possibility of life after death.
Out of deep concern for this topic, philosophers and the great world religions constantly debate specific views about life after death such reincarnation, resurrection and other options. Over the years, philosophical speculations of life after death have yielded various theories on the immortality of the soul, to prove that the soul can exist apart from the body and thereby suggest that the human soul will live on after death. This view is well suited to our religious beliefs because it is something like this that gives people hope in the face of death. The question that most be
Asked however is whether there is any good reason to believe in life after death. Is it a reasonable hope or nothing more than a wishful thinking?
Though the average Christan does notbneed anyone to convince about the reality of life after death, but generally speaking, it is necessary to consider some facts which are not widely known. There is actually empirical, observable and scientifically verifiable evidence about life after death. This evidence is always provided by a phenomenon known as "near-death experiences"(NDE) which is an experience where a person who is considered to be clinically dead is involved in a disembodied State of existence or other aspects or forms of an afterlife. While in a state of the absence of any discernible signs of life such as consciousness, pulse or breathing, some have reported such experiences as having the sense that one is dead and looking down on one's body. Others have reported things like traveling down a tunnel or a dark passageway , meeting other person's or supernatural beings, seeing beautiful scenery or reentering ones body and experiencing feelings of peace. In some cases, some have shared their experiences about a terrifying visit to hell, it is importantto note that most of these people give a very vivid account of their personal encounters.
On the basis of divine revelation, we are confident of the promise of an everlasting life. As Christians, we affirm the biblical teaching that human beings do live on after physical death. We can therefore confidently answer the question of life after death in the affirmative. We can say beyond any reasonable doubt, YES there is life after death
Not as an ordinary life devoid of divine essence but an abundant life as described in Revelation. 20:6 that's says: Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first ressurection: on such the second death hath no power but they shall be priests of God and Christ and they shall reign with him a thousand years.
Life after death offers abundant life to all those that will faithfully serve the Lord till death. First we will partake in the first resurrection and then the second death will no power over us. We will automatically become priests of God with the special privilege of reigning with Him for a thousand years. What a life to look forward to. I pray we will make it there in JESUS name.

ARTICLE: CONDEMNED ALREADY?
Anchor passage: John. 3:17-18
Most of us have a good knowledge of our fundamental civic rights. We carry them with so much dignity and faithfulness even when they might bring harm rather than good. That can be true of spiritual matters as well. For example, exercising the "right" to reject God's plan of salvation leaves a person in a condemned condition.
So many people when preached to are of the opinion that God, being so merciful and gracious will never condemn them to hell. You see, it is true that the Lord doesn't condemn people to hell. He allows them to opt for that eternal destination themselves. Jesus said in the book of Luke that narrow is the way that leads to heaven and broad is the way that leads to eternal life. He advices us to follow the narrow way. One thing that Jesus will never do, despite how powerful He is is to compel you to make a choice. Everybody has a right to choose.
God says that those who do not believe in Jesus Christ have been judged already (v. 18). In other words, by rejecting--or politely ignoring--their need for a Savior, unbelievers have chosen to remain unsaved and unforgiven. This is a terrible fate that some people have chosen for themselves. Scripture teaches that there will one day be a judgment, but God has already determined that those who trust in Christ will stand with Him while the rest will be sent away (Matt. 25:34-46).
An unrepentant man or woman is not condemned by God but, rather, has chosen to remain in the company of all those condemned by their own free will.
An unrepentant man or woman is not condemned by God but, rather, has chosen to remain in the company of all those condemned by their own free will.
God desires that everyone come to a saving knowledge of His Son Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:9). To that end, He has granted each person the right to decide whether or not to follow in obedience. However, those who reject the Savior are forewarned that they have settled for condemnation.

NEWS: KIRK FRANKLIN DEFENDS HIS COLLABORATION WITH KANYE WEST,SAYS "HES
Award winning gospel musician, Kirk Franklin is receiving a bit of criticism from fans after collaborating with rapper Kanye West on his new album “The Life of Pablo.” The album contains explicit language throughout, though Kanye claims the title refers to the apostle Paul.
According to the Press, Franklin defended his decision to work with Kanye via Facebook.
Franklin wrote, “Kanye is not me. I am not him. He is my brother I am proud to do life with. No sprints, but Marathons; like most of us are on.”
He continued, “I will not turn my back on my brother. I will love him, prayerfully grow with him. However long he'll have me, and however long the race takes. To a lot of my Christian family, I'm sorry he's not good enough, Christian enough, or running at your pace...and as I read some of your comments, neither am I. That won't stop me from running. Pray we win.”
The duo has also performed live tracks from the new album in different shows. At the last show where they sang together, the song “Ultra Light Beams” ended with a prayer.
Franklin prayed, “Father this prayer’s for everybody that feels like giving up. This prayer’s for everybody who feels like they’re not good enough. Everybody that said ‘I’m sorry’ too many times. Jesus that’s why I’m glad you came to give us eternal life. I’m so glad about it!”

DEVOTIONAL: THE GREAT HELPER
Bible Reading: Psalms. 121:1-8
It has been said that one of the diverse features of Christianity is the diverse attack targeted at a child of God from the moment of conversion. It presents itself as a permanent companion in the journey of life and appears to become more intense as you progress in the Christian race. The conflicts may come in form of physical, emotional and spiritual attacks. They could sometimes be manifested as temptations, financial troubles, physical or health challenges, vocational problems, obstacles and obstructions, sickness or death of a loved one, stagnancy, depression, discouragement, failure, depression and family problems. Many of these may appear normal, but some are great attacks on the children of God to hate, despise, persecute, oppress, blackmail and even kill them. Yet in the face if such malicious attacks, many Christians have persevered and stood firm in their convictions, with great grace and in defiant faith. Such people were able to stand in the face of evil holding on to God's promises for help. One of such could be found in Hebrews. 13:5-6 that's says:
Let your conversation be without covetousness. And be content with such thing as ye have, for he hath said, I will never leave the nor forsake thee, so that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
I pray that as you look up to God for help and assistance today, He will send help to you and you'll never be disappointed in Jesus name. Like the saints of old, we are expected to build our confidence on the sure promises of God. King David in his affliction said "my help comes from God, the maker of heaven and earth.(Psalms.121:2) thereby revealing the source of his confidence. In the above passage, the word of God says "I will never leave the nor forsake thee". Because of this sure promise of God which cannot fail, we may say with confidence that the Lord is our helper, a sure and dependable help in times of trouble . I decree into your life today, God will always be there for you as a reliable ally against all evil attacks in the name of Jesus.
A simple analysis of the statement "I will not fear what man shall do to me" implies the inevitability of the evil actions of men, but the Bible is saying that even in the face of such evil threats, we should never be fearful but remain confident knowing that God will never fail us. However, there are conditions that a true Christian must meet to guarantee His assistance. We must be free from covetousness and be satisfied with whatever we have, people with uncontrollable desires for delicacies, designer wears social status, high offices or positions and other worldly attractions are usually a little desperate and unstable. Such people will do anything including lowering their Christian standards in order to retain positions that support their livelihood at all costs. You will not be driven by fear to sell out your birthright or backslide into error in Jesus name.
The promises of God are perfectly reliable because "God is not a man that he should lie". If God be for us, who can be against us? Who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? Our confidence rests absolutely upon the promises of God. Hallelujah!!!

NEWS: DAYSTAR CHURCH LIBERATES 364 PERSONS FROM POVERTY
Daystar Christian Centre graduated 364 students on Friday, February 12th, 2016 at the just concluded Daystar Skill Acquisition Program (D-SAP), organised by the church in Lagos, Nigeria.
The Program which runs yearly, started the 18th Edition on Monday February 1st, and ended February 12th, 2016 at Plot A3C Ikosi Road, Oregun, Lagos, Nigeria.
Students were opportune to participate in the two weeks intensive training program, which gave them a foundation on various skill sets needed for taking over territories in their area of influence, according to the theme of the church for this year.
In an interview with the Registrar, Mrs Oluwatoyin Olushola, said the program admitted 365 students from various parts of the state and religion, with intentions to learn new skills in the following areas; Shoe Making, Beaded Jewelry, Graphic Design, Web Design, Pastries & Drink Making, Cake Making & Decoration, Dress Making, Event & Venue Decoration, Hair-Styling, Photography, Bridal Accessories & Headpieces, Generator Repairs and Make Up.
Mrs Olushola also said, out of the 365 students admitted for the program, 364 students graduated with the following statistics: Shoe Making = 16; Beaded Jewelry = 13; Graphic Design = 50; Web Design = 40; Pastries & Drink Making = 24; Cake Making & Decoration = 27; Dressmaking = 34; Event & Venue Decoration = 13; Hair-styling = 13; Photography = 46; Bridal Accessories & Headpieces = 6; Generator Repairs = 2; Make Up = 80.
Answering question on criteria for admission into the D-SAP, Mrs Olushola said students were required to have little education in order for them to grasp what the program entails, and meet the age limit of above 16 years.
Speaking on the graduation requirement, she said students must pass through the school for the period of 9 days, and they must submit assignment/projects given during the training program.
Mrs Olushola used the opportunity to invite other students in the state, to enroll for the next set of D-SAP coming up in June 2016, at Daystar Christian Centre, Ikosi Road, Oregun, Lagos, Nigeria.
In an interview with Mrs Seyi Adeyemo, Lead Facilitator for D-SAP Make Up, she said “there is joy in helping someone birth their dreams and I feel fulfilled every time”.
Responding to what her expectation is for her graduating student, she said they should be persistent, prayerful and not give up.
The training programe had facilitators who are Managing Directors (MD/CEO) of their respective organizations, such as Shoespeed Limited, IdeaPortals Nigeria and others.
In an interview with the MD/CEO of Shoespeed Limited, Mr Abiodun Folawiyo , Lead Facilitator for shoe making said “shoe making is an issue of mind transformation and technicality”.
“Each time I wake up to facilitate in shoe-making, I feel like I’m going to collect a million-dollar, even though am collecting nothing from it”, he added.
Mr Folawiyo said, shoe making industry will soon be perceived as an oil industry, because everyone is in need of footwear all over the world.
Speaking with the MD/CEO of IdeaPortals Nigeria, Mr Adebola Oni , the Lead facilitator for website design at the just concluded D-SAP training, said web design is not always difficult, what is difficult is what you have not learnt or been taught. If you can use Microsoft word then with a proper training you can learn web design.
Mr Oni said he derives his fulfillment from impacting his knowledge on other people to be web designer every now and then.
“I will say it is unfortunate for those who don’t have a skill, because your certificate is not worth anything without a skill, but its never too late to learn a skill”, Mr Oni said.
According to Mrs Essen Grace an MBA holder and a student of graphic design at D-SAP, she said “this two weeks has been eye opening for me, because I came in with zero skill and later discovered I could do more than I ever imagine”.
“I think anyone who wants to stand-out in what they do, should go for a skill acquisition program, I have a master degree, and here am I graduating from D-SAP as a graphic design student”, she said.
“To take what you are doing a level higher, you need a skill from D-SAP”, she added.
Speaking on behalf of Daystar Christian Centre,
Pastor Grace Ofili, An Associate Pastor and Pastor-In-Charge of D-SAP, said D-SAP was established to help people who have nothing doing, to gain skills that will generate income for them from age 18, and to discourage begging among members. D-SAP was created out of passion from the senior pastor, Sam Adeyemi, to see people free from poverty.
“A lot of graduates from D-SAP are now working for themselves, while some are employers of labour, thereby adding value to the economy of the nation”, she said.
According to Pastor Grace, she said “I don’t see any other place other than the church for this kind of training to take place, because Jesus Christ came to give us freedom, and the church as the body of Christ, has been given the capacity to set people free from poverty”.
Pastor Grace encourages other organization to emulate what Daystar Christian Centre is doing, to get people out of poverty by running D-SAP.
“Little drops of water makes a mighty ocean, if Daystar is affecting this much, imagine if every organization or church takes on this, we will do a lot, and in no time our nation will be a rich country again”, she said.

NEWS: OLAJUMOKE ORISAGUNA: THE BREAD HAWKER TURNED CELEBRITY OVERNIGHT
Be the change you want to see in the world. This statement couldn't have found a better expression elsewhere than as seen in TY's short story of Olajumoke Orisaguna, the Local bread seller whom she spotted and the rest became history.
Here's her story as documented by the amazing musician, turned professional photographer, TY Bello :
I've asked over and again why all this is happening. One thing is clear... The woman here is no charity case. We met her in the middle of her hustle. This woman works hard. Seven days a week with a family to support. But with dignity, who pays that much attention to how she looks that she's about to hawk bread...Arranging the bread so delicately Like it was work much more... Making sure she left the bakery while it was steamy and hot. All of this, even when it's clear that her profit within a day is between 300-500 Naira.
This is the story of so many Nigerians.. The young houseboy selling gala in the traffic.. The woman braiding hair under the bridge. Nigerians work hard and we do it with style. This should be a big lesson to everyone reading and to those clearly working hard, pay attention : You may have your own wahala to deal with, but nothing gives you a bigger break from your troubles than just making life easier for someone else. Give an orange seller a 1000Naira note and she may be able to take the next day off to take better care of her children.
Jumoke is sorted!. I personally believe so with all the doors opening up for her but the story is more about the other 'Jumokes' around you. Who put in all the best to their work but just need a little push. You may not be able to help everyone but as I learnt from someone I really respect... In your own unique way, do for the one what you would have liked to do for all. Jumoke, who wants to be an hair stylist but secretly nurses the ambition of starring in a Yoruba movie someday...I know she'll be a Nollywood hit. She did great in front of my camera and understood how to manoeuvre the tiniest nuances. She may not be perfect in English but she speaks and writes Yoruba fluently... @kunleafo.. Can you hear?.. I know she has started to live her dreams as she's been signed on to modelling deal with a reputable organization.
Jumoke has finally received her certificate of recognition from Payporte as their brand ambassador after signing a long time deal with them. She also has bagged various modelling deals as she turned an internet sensation overnight.

ARTICLE: DO WHAT YOU CAN
'It's lonely at the top.' So goes the axiom. When the valleys are full of Canaanites, whose iron chariots withstand your progress, get up into the hills, occupy the upper spaces. Canaan is not a place you can just stroll into. There are giants waiting to challenge you. This is why you need extra strength even when you finally arrive your long awaited land of promise. But there are times when you feel that there's little or no strength left within, that's the time to utilize your mustard-seed faith. No matter how little it may seem, it'll make a difference.
If you can no longer work for God, pray for those who can. If you cannot move earth by your speech, you may move Heaven. If the development of life on the lower slopes is impossible, through limitations of service, the necessity of maintaining others, and such-like restrictions, let it break out toward the unseen, the eternal, the Divine.

If the development of life on the lower slopes is impossible, through limitations of service, the necessity of maintaining others, and such-like restrictions, let it break out toward the unseen, the eternal, the Divine.
Faith can fell forests. Even if the tribes had realized what treasures lay above them, they would hardly have dared to suppose it possible to rid the hills of their dense forest-growth. But as God indicated their task, He reminded them that they had power enough. The visions of things that seem impossible are presented to us, like these forest-covered steeps, not to mock us, or to ridicule us but to incite us to spiritual exploits which would be impossible unless God had stored within us the great strength of His own indwelling. We have been created in the image of God in order to surmount challenges and not be downtrodden by them. The Bible in Philippians.4:13 says:
I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.
Difficulty is sent to reveal to us what God can do in answer to the faith that prays and works. Are you straitened in the valleys? Get away to the hills, live there; get honey out of the rock, and wealth out of the terraced slopes now hidden by forest.

NEWS: BEN CARSON'S WIFE REVEALS HIDDEN TRUTHS ABOUT HER HUSBAND.
The wife of one of the U. S presidential aspirants, Dr. Ben Carson in an interview with the press recently revealed certain facts about her husband's aspiration for the Presidency of the United States of America.
Here's is an excerpt from the interview session with her :
Q: You write that running for public office wasn’t on your husband’s bucket list and “certainly” wasn’t on yours. Do you still believe, as you wrote, that God is opening doors for your husband to run for president — even after the major shake-up of his staff?
A: Yes. Things aren’t working quite as they should, and with any business or almost anything there’s growing pains so you need to tweak it. So with the restructuring, some of the people didn’t want to stay so they tendered their resignation.
Q: But you still see this as God opening doors and the race continues?
A: Oh my gosh, yes. I just heard that we had quite a surge in donations this weekend because of the switch-out. That’s God. That’s the way he works.
Q: You grew up in a strict household with good grades expected and regular churchgoing. What was your denominational affiliation and what do you recall of your early religious life?
A: I was Episcopal. Going to church, my mom was the organist and she required that all of us learn piano and at least one other instrument. My sister and I learned organ, too. Sometimes she would have us play on her behalf and she could take a little break.
Q: Do you think you would be Seventh-day Adventist if you had not met Ben Carson, who invited you to an Adventist church near Yale?
A: I don’t know, but God works those things out. He puts people in your life to affect you in certain ways. It just so happened that he and his (Yale) roommate were wonderful young men. I started attending church and as a result of their inviting me to do the (organ) audition and then when I didn’t do well on that they invited me to join the choir. And the rest is history.
Q: People at your Baltimore Adventist church didn’t believe that your husband was the first neurosurgery resident to train at Johns Hopkins. How would you describe the church and how did you convince them?
A: They couldn’t believe that there was a black one there. It raised some eyebrows that I was coming there by myself all the time and I would say, “Oh yeah, I’m sorry my husband couldn’t come this week because he’s busy at the hospital.” Why should they believe me? They don’t know me. The minister finally took it upon himself to visit the hospital and found Ben there.
Q: Your husband has made remarks critiquing political correctness, and has been criticized for saying he wouldn’t support a Muslim as president. Do you share those sentiments or is there a point of disagreement between the two of you?
A: That really should be clarified because he was talking about, in general, anyone who puts anything ahead of our Constitution, whether it’s part of their religion or some other principle, value. That person he would not support for president because the president is someone who needs to uphold the Constitution above everything else. Now Muslims are included in that if they decide that they will put Islam above the Constitution. He himself would not support that person and I can understand that and agree with it because if they’re putting that above the Constitution then they are not of, by and for the people as you’re supposed to be as the president.
Q: What don’t people know about your husband that they should know?
A: He is a person of strength even though people figure because he’s soft-spoken that maybe he doesn’t have any strength. But he says the best way to judge strength is by accomplishment. He was the first one to operate on a baby in the womb. He is also the only one of the candidates that has 67 honorary degrees. He also got the highest honor in the land, the (Presidential) Medal of Freedom. That doesn’t happen to people who are weak.
Q: At the end of the book you say, “We look forward to the next adventure as we follow God’s lead.” What do you expect that next adventure will be?
A: I don’t like to try to figure God out that way. He has enough surprises for us as it is.

ARTICLE : TRUE LIFE STORY OF MUSLIM WOMAN LOST FOR SEVEN YEARS WHO FINDS JESUS IN THE SCRIPTURES. (FIRUZA'S STORY)
Sometime later, a lady brought painted Easter eggs to my place of work . "Why did you paint these" i asked.
“It’s a holiday,” she responded, continuing with an invitation to celebrate Easter together at church.
“What do you do there?” i wanted to know.
“We sing songs, we pray, we praise God, we worship.”
Maybe for a concert I could go, because I like music. So on Sunday, I went to church. But the concert was awful. Looking around the church, I was confused by what I saw. I saw rows of Central Asians—my people—listening to the message.
Bored and uninterested in the preaching, I didn’t concentrate on the message. Afterwards, people from the congregation went forward to share their testimonies.
This really touched me, the testimonies, Previously, I had thought God gave rules and had nothing to do with individuals personally. At the church, I heard people describe the ways God was intimately involved in their lives.
I agreed to attend church a second week. Again, I ignored the preaching but listened intently to the testimonies. And when the pastor asked to pray for newcomers, to bless them, I walked to the front of the church.
Besides a blessing, there was also a prayer. Unable to return to my seat, i answered the set of questions being asked.
“Do you think you are a sinner?”
“Yes.”
“Do you want forgiveness for your sins?”
“Yes.”
“God sent 2,000 years ago a Saviour to sacrifice for your sins. If you accept that sacrifice your sins will be forgiven… If you want to be forgiven, you can pray this prayer with me.”
And they prayed. I accepted Jesus, not really deciding I want Jesus, I just thought they were asking questions.
Immediately after praying, I was filled with fear. I thought I betrayed my family, my religion, my ‘god’… , ‘What have I done? Is this right or wrong? How can I know?’”
When I got home, i locked myself in my room. Weeping, i began to pray. “I didn’t say Allah, I didn’t say Jesus, I didn’t say Mohammed. I said, ‘My Creator, I known You exist. Only You can show me the truth. You know my heart. I want to go to You.’”
After praying, I found the Bible i’d been given, a New Testament in my language, and began to read the Book of Matthew.
I couldn’t stop until I finished this book. Then God in His power showed me the whole picture. He took away this thought I always had that the Bible was changed… God spoke this, and I…believed the Bible was true.
As I continued to read the Bible, I discovered more evidence of God’s love and truth. I began studying the Bible with the woman who had invited me to church, and i also started praying for my family.
It took me seven years to receive Jesus. For my youngest sister, it took less than seven minutes!. Later, another sister also believed.
I see God’s power in my life. There are so many hundreds, if not thousands, of miracles… God knows my heart, and He gives the answer that I need.”

DEVOTIONAL :REVIVAL THROUGH PRAYER
Bible reading: Hosea. 6:2
Memory verse: Hosea. 6:1-6
Prayer is a divine mechanism that God gave Christians as a way if communicating with Heaven. It is also a very powerful weapon for spiritual warfare. A man who has a fervent prayer life walks with God: no journey can be more blessed and productive as the one taken with the Almighty God through prayer. Simple prayers offered for individuals, the local community, the nation and the church were responsible for some of the great miracles and moves of God in different parts of the world. The Bible in James. 4:2 says:
Ye lust and have not,ye kill and desire to have but do not obtain. Yeah fight and war, yet yeah have not because ur ask not"
This passage states so clearly that we can desire a thing to the point of killing for it, but this does not give a guarantee that we will get that desired thing. The only thing that guarantees our getting a lasting blessing is to ask in prayer.
When we talk of revival, it must be clear to all that there is never such a thing as revival if it doesn't start with prayer. Every revival in history cane to be as a result of prayer. The great revival under Jonathan Edwards in the eighteenth century kicked off with his famous calk to prayer. David Brainard, Charles Finley, the Wesley brothers, the great revival of 1930 in Nigeria and the one that gave to the redeemed Christian Church of God all started with prayers. As a matter of fact, every true awakening and revival begins with prayers. The big question is :Do we need revival?
Taking a cursory look at happenings around the world, we will see clearly that what the world needs now is revival, more so when we consider happenings within the body of Christ. Things have deteriorated so badly, both the laity and the clergy have departed from the path of holiness and truth. Today the fruit of the Spirit are only evident in the lives of very few Christians. Many genuinely born again Christians are not only living in sin but are cold and operating far beyond expectation. The only solution to the problem to the problem of the church now is revival. We must pray that God should revive us again, break through our self centered daily routines and fill us with the fire as of old in Jesus name.
God is especially pleased to answer any prayer that is focused on the revival of God's work and God's people. In my personal experience, fervent prayer always precede every great move of God. Even prophecies and revelations of God must be prayed into physical manifestation. Therefore as individuals, we need revival in our personal lives, we need revival in our local communities, and we need revival in our nation. The church of God also needs revival for renewal, rededicating and spiritual empowerment.

NEWS: BOKO HARAM SPRINGS UP ATTACKS IN CHIBOK
Boko Haram militants attacked the town of Chibok on Wednesday (Jan. 27), killing at least 16 people. The Christian Post reports that six suicide bombers carried out the attack at a weekly vegetable market.
The dead include 15 civilians and one soldier, though the death toll may rise.
Town elder Ayuba Chibok said, "The situation is now tense and there's so much confusion. It will take some time before we can be able to have a clearer picture of the casualties.”
Dr. Idrissa Danladi said Chibok’s hospital is overwhelmed after the attack. A number of people are fighting for their lives and the hospital has a shortage of blood.
Chibok is the same town from which over 200 young schoolgirls were kidnapped in April 2014. Most of the girls have not returned home.
Earlier this month Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari launched an investigation of the kidnapping.
He said, "I assure you that I go to bed and wake up every day with the Chibok girls on my mind. Securing the Chibok girls is my responsibility. The service chiefs and heads of our security agencies will tell you that in spite of the dire financial straits that we found the country in, I continue to do my best to support their efforts in that regard.”

ARTICLE:TRUE LIFE STORY OF MUSLIM WOMAN LOST FOR SEVEN YEARS WHO FINDS JESUS IN THE SCRIPTURES- FIRUZA'S STORY
Like so many other unsaved souls out there, Firuza is a Muslim woman who became a victim of circumstances surrounding her birth and environment. She was born into a Muslim background and as such didn't have the opportunity of following the path if any other religion.
This is her story...
“First, I am from a Muslim background. “In school we were taught there was no God. God doesn’t exist… I learnt about God in my family. My grandfather was a Muslim leader, a mullah. He taught us stories of God from the Qur’an.”I had always loved to be a devout woman. This was what made quit school at the age of fifteen for Islamic studies because I thought that was the only path to God. Ten days into my quest, i returned home.
The head of the [school] was a very rude, yelling woman, all covered in black, and I was scared. I didn’t see any godliness.
I re-enrolled in high school, learnt reading and Arabic script, and continued following standard Islamic practices: attending the mosque, praying and fasting during Ramadan. After finishing high school, I decided to study in my country’s capital city.
There, I heard about Jesus for the first time.
A group of Westerners invited me, along with other students, to watch the Jesus film at their apartment. While the cinematography impressed, the video’s message fell flat.
The first impression I had was, "Oh, they make good movies about their prophets. We must make good movies about Mohammed as well. I didn’t know it was all taken from the Bible. I didn’t believe the Bible was real.
That mind set, in fact, was the first barrier to my believing in Jesus. Shortly after viewing the film, I started avoiding the people who had extended the invitation. However, God pursued me.
I heard about Jesus from my roommate in the dormitory. My teacher at the university, she gave me the Bible in three languages… In my working place, I heard about Jesus. They were inviting me home, having coffee, talking about Jesus, Of course, I always avoided those people. I didn’t want to talk to them.
And although i kept the Bibles, i put them away, afraid I would be a sinner if i even touched the books.
While taking a tram to work one day, an old woman approached me, who was standing in the middle of the overfilled car. “No person died for people’s sins, only Jesus Christ did,” the lady told me.
Um-hmm, i thought, plastering a polite smile on my face as i turned away. She’s one of them.
God was kind of chasing me. He was sending all kinds of people: friends, people that I knew, people that I didn’t know, strangers.
Another day, on my way to work, a prayer came to me. I began to cry as i prayed, “God, I only want you. I want to go to paradise. What if…when I go to you, my sins would be heavier than my good deeds?”
This is what Muslims believe —if the points fail to add up, they disappear, “and I will have to go to hell.”
Not long after that experience, I had a dream. I was on the very top of a mountain or hill, a high place, and the sun started rising. I was watching it. It came right above me. Then I reached my hands, and it came, it landed in my hands. And I lowered my hands, and I looked, and the sun became a baby. The sun became a baby.
The dream occupied my thoughts. This must definitely mean something,” I pondered.
To be continued next week...
